Change Explorer's startup folder

I wish that whenever I started Windows Explorer, it came up showing a different folder than the C root folder. Is this possible?

Yes, you can actually make it start up showing any folder you want. First, right-click the shortcut you use to start Windows Explorer (in Start, Programs or on the QuickLaunch panel) and select Properties. In the Target field it will probably say something like:

c:\Windows\Explorer.exe /n,/e,c:\

Change 'c:\' (the path of the C root folder) to the path of the folder you want to be shown at startup. If the name has spaces in it (for example, 'c:\My Documents') it will be necessary to enclose the whole path in quotes. Then click ok.

And that's it. Next time you launch Explorer, it should start up showing the folder you have chosen.
